Jedediah “Jed” Main is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer and founder of The Main Law Firm, P.L., with offices in Winter Park, Lake Mary, Mt. Dora, and Clermont serving clients throughout Central Florida.
Jed is recognized by Best Lawyers in America, is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, limited to attorneys who have served as lead counsel in cases resulting in verdicts or settlements of $2 million or more. He is a member of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA), a national organization focused exclusively on commercial motor vehicle litigation, and the Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association.
Within the Florida Justice Association, the statewide association of plaintiff trial lawyers, Jed serves on the Board of Directors and the PAC Board of Trustees, and is Past-Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Section. He is a two-time Bronze EAGLE Award recipient (2025, 2026) and serves on the Legislative Committee, including its Trucking, Medical Damages, and Automobile/Bad Faith subcommittees, as well as the Membership, Awards, Eagle, and Ad Hoc Communications Committees and the Budget Prep Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the FJA Minority Caucus.
The National Trial Lawyers has continuously recognized Jed in its Top 100 list since 2021, as a Top 10 Trucking Trial Lawyer in Florida since 2022, a Top 10 Car Accident Lawyer since 2023, and a Top 25 Motor Vehicle Trial Lawyer since 2024. He has been selected to Florida Super Lawyers and named to Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite.” Jed holds the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-review rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
Professional Background & Practice Focus
A graduate of Florida State University College of Law (J.D., with honors) and Florida State University (B.S., Finance and B.S., Insurance/Risk Management, both with honors), Jed began his career as a prosecutor with the Office of the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit (Orange and Osceola Counties), followed by insurance-defense litigation in downtown Orlando. He founded The Main Law Firm in 2010 to use that combined background on behalf of seriously injured people.
The firm focuses on commercial vehicle and semi-truck collisions, wrongful death, and other catastrophic injury cases, including matters involving Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation violations, hours-of-service issues, electronic logging data, and broker and shipper liability. Jed personally oversees every case in his firm, and every client has his cell phone number and direct access to him throughout their case. Clients work directly with an experienced trial lawyer, not a case manager.
Beyond his practice, Jed serves on the Board of Directors of the Immunocompromised Association of Orlando, is a founding board member and past president of Guys With Ties Philanthropy, and supports the Tree of Light at the Dr. Phillips Center’s Frontyard Holiday Festival, the Orange County Bar Association Legal Aid Society’s Breakfast of Champions, Horses Without Humans Horse Rescue, and Fashion for Hope.
